Sarah’s pretty and pink magical wish!
Eight-year-old Sarah had to endure long hospital stays while she underwent chemotherapy treatments for her leukaemia. Her mum Joanna explains this time was really hard for Sarah. “She didn’t understand why she had to have so many needles, injections and medicine, and why her hair started to fall out.”
After finishing her treatments, Sarah decided she wanted her bedroom at home to feel like an extra special, comforting place. Hello Kitty brought Sarah a lot of joy while she was in hospital, so she decided that her wish was to have a Hello Kitty bedroom makeover!
Sarah’s wish came true in December 2023! The fairies at Make-A-Wish NZ transformed Sarah’s bedroom into her dream pretty and pink Hello Kitty paradise!
Decked out with a new bookshelf, bedside tables, and bunk beds, Sarah’s new bedroom is the perfect spot for sleepovers with all her friends. 💗
