I wish to have a drum set
16-year-old Braydyn, who has a cardiac condition, is obsessed with music. He enthusiastically plays the drum set at his uncle’s house every time he visited.
16-year-old Braydyn, who has a cardiac condition, is obsessed with music. He enthusiastically plays the drum set at his uncle’s house every time he visited. Braydyn’s all-time favourite artist is The Wiggles! Braydyn’s wish was for a drum set of his very own.
Braydyn’s wish came true earlier this year, when he was surprised with his drum set at a Wiggles themed party set up just for him!
Bronwyn, a Make-A-Wish NZ volunteer who worked on Braydyn’s wish says it took Braydyn all of 30 secs to take the whole party in before he headed straight to the drums. “Just the pure joy from Braydyn filled our hearts with such delight and put smiles on everyone’s faces. I am not sure how they got him off the drums – but it was the best ever gift for Braydyn.”
Bradyn’s dad Gerald explains that their family is very musical and this wish will have a lasting impact on Braydyn. “Braydyn now has the means to connect and be a part of the rest of our musical family through music.”
