Meet Hunter - a boy obsessed with transport

His wish is to go to Christchurch and experience variety of transport modes

Seven-year-old Hunter, who had leukaemia, loves modes of transport! Some of his faves are planes, buses, ferries, trains and campervans – just to name a few!

It was no surprise that Hunter’s wish was to travel to Christchurch and experience a variety of thrilling transport modes.

In April, Hunter’s wish came true. Some of the exciting transport modes he enjoyed on his wish trip were:

A plane ride to Christchurch

A Jucy World campervan to travel around Christchurch

A tram ride and gondola, where he marvelled at pristine views from up high!

Punting on the Avon – an incredible experience!

A train ride to Kaikoura and a bus ride back

A Black cat cruises ferry trip to Quail Island

Hunter’s smile says it all – this wish was an incredible adventure for him and his family!

Hunter’s mum Kathleen says she is so grateful to all the Make-A-Wish NZ supporters who helped make Hunter’s wish happen. “I can’t begin to tell you how much fun Hunter had. We are very happy that Hunter was able to have these awesome experiences and memories that he’ll never forget. We are grateful beyond words.”
