Amelie’s entire life changed when she was diagnosed with a mixed germ cell tumour – an extremely rare form of brain cancer – at age 12. She had to miss months of school while undergoing gruelling chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments.
Now 15, Amelie is an extremely talented piano player. She gained a Diploma in Piano with distinction at only 12 years old. Her biggest dream is to become a professional musician – teaching and inspiring students while also composing her own pieces.
Amelie’s wish was to have a professional-level grand piano, so she can chase her dreams.
Thanks to the support of Make-A-Wish NZ donors, and the amazing generosity from the team at Piano Traders Ltd, Amelie’s wish came true! As you can see in the video below, she is an incredibly gifted pianist!
